Kennywood Amusement Park, Pittsburgh, PA
Over the holidays I had the pleasure of visiting Kennywood Amusement Park in Pittsburgh, PA. As it grew dark, the beautiful holiday lights lit up the entire park, and the reflection at the Lagoon was just stunning. I knew the park had a long history, but I had NO idea it actually opened as a recreational trolley park in 1898! The park’s first rollercoaster was the Figure Eight Toboggan which opened in 1902, while the park’s oldest surviving coaster, the Jack Rabbit, opened in 1920.
